Welcome to my Taxidermy page! Here I will show you some of my work, raw and bloody to the final stages! As well I am a volunteer at the Loan Program in the Natural History Museum of San Diego, and I clean/maintain/a friend to the taxidermy Each image has a little description about each photo!

Bats on Foam Mount
These little guys were so so much fun to work with! Every one had a thick patch of fur. I saw some bolding spots but was able to hide the spots by stroking the paint brush away from me. There was some that were falling off of the foam mount. It was an easy fix and pushed the bats back into the mount. I wish I could re paint the mount for the museum because it was all cracked and does not look clean anymore. At least the bats look handsome and ready for the day!
Hawk and her Baby
This piece is going to be a project for me for sure! I will share photos of my progress with the baby! But, basically the baby got infested with mold, mites, and time. I was very sad to see the baby. The hawk looks great thank goodness! I just had to adjust the tale a little bit but we made it work!
Pinks
This sweet angel was a little tough to skin. She had a lot of fat around her and was nervous to cut into her fur! We made it though! Her mount is made with wood, resin, and buttons!
